Lines I Love

1. You may meet someone who is kind and gentle but if he doesn’t make your heart beat faster, he’s still the next best thing. You may meet someone who makes you wild with longing but if he makes you feel ugly, inadequate and unworthy, he is still the next best thing. You may meet someone who seems perfect in every way yet feel that something is essentially lacking. Or you may meet someone who seems completely wrong for you yet feel him growing on you.
2.Sometimes, we fall in love and believe that life is not worth living if the person we love does not return our feelings. But the point of the matter is that love, to be truly called real, does not have to be reciprocated.
3.If you’re still stalking the man who jilted you ten years ago, maybe he had a reason to do so. Don’t give him the pleasure of confirmation.
4.If your man is worth keeping, he doesn’t need you to keep this woman at bay. But if he can’t or doesn’t want to keep this woman away, perhaps, you should think twice about whether you should be keeping this man or giving him away.
5. But will revenge take away your pain? Will it bring back your man? Will it make you less miserable in the end?
6.And as I grow older, I am more accepting of where fate takes me. Good-byes still hurt but now I will no longer pretend they don’t. I will no longer turn away and pretend it does not fill me with sadness to leave or be left. I will no longer pretend to be what I am not – practical and unsentimental, brave and tough. No, I will no longer apologize for what I am not.
7. Change brings pain but pain does not have to enfeeble. It can empower us to rise to the challenge to reinvent ourselves one more time. Every time God wrests control from our hands, He grants us, through the gift of powerlessness, greater passion to live life. For to know that everything is fleeting, that nothing and no one is forever, is a gift only pain can deliver.
8. You cannot change a man. Your projects for change may see fruition–for a while, but not for long. So if you’re in love with a man you want to change, you’ll have to learn to change (your mind) because he’s definitely not going to change (himself) – for you.
9. Young women should especially be aware that all is not always fair in love and war. And for those who say that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, I say, it is better to have loved and let go than to have loved and held on to the wrong one all the time.
